9 Months Old!

Ava is 9 months old!  This month Ava was a very busy little girl!  Ava now can say "Mum Mum," "Dada," "Nene", and "Ba ba".  Ava loves to wave hi and bye to anyone she sees, however a lot of the time she does this after they have already left and don't get to see her cute little wave.  Ava can now pull up and stand by herself!  She loves to pull up on anyone she can!  This month Ava finally got her first tooth!  One Saturday afternoon, Dada was carrying Ava in her carrier when he felt her bottom right tooth pop out!  Not even a week later the bottom left tooth popped out as well!  Ava doesn't let many people see her teeth, but they are adorable!  We can't believe how much Ava changes and grows daily! Ava loves to babble, talk, and laugh!  This month Ava also started eating more solid foods like ravioli, yogurt, and chicken!  With as little as she is you wouldn't know, but this girl can eat!  Next week we will find out her weight and height percentages!  We can't wait to see how much she's grown.

8 Months Old!

Time seems to be slipping away from us!  Our little girl is 8 months old!  Ava is becomming quite the active little girl.  This month she has started to pull up on things.  Anything that will hold her weight she will use to stand up.  Her music cube and activity table are her favorite toys to play with.  We recently got her a walker and watch out!  Ava's on the move!  The chihuahua hides, toes get rolled over, and Ava gets to explore the whole house downstairs.

    This month Ava also started eating breakfast, lunch, and dinner!  Ava loves to eat applesauce, oatmeal, Gerber puffs, yogurt melts, and cookies, and cheese!  Ava still doesn't have any teeth, but she is teething for sure!  This month we were very busy and Ava is such a great traveler that we are able to venture out and do lots of things around town!

7 Months

Ava is 7 months old! This past month Ava has really started playing.  She loves to play , "I'm gonna get you!" as one of us holds her the other runs after her.  She giggles and squeals and is such a happy baby.  This month Ava also started her stranger anxiety.  When someone else tries to hold her or come up and talk to her she is starting to get upset.  This is especially true if either Nick or I is holding her.  Most of the time we smile at her and make her giggle and then she is fine.  We'll see how long that lasts!  Ava is getting very good at sitting all by herself and loves to play "peek-a-boo" with us and her toys.  She's very smart and always knows we are right there but loves to laugh at us hiding from her!  Ava is also learning quickly that Mama and Dada and suckers!  She loves to be held and now when we go to put her down she whimpers and is noticing that when she whimpers we usually do what she wants.  Hope we're not setting ourselves up for trouble!  Any day now we're going to have a crawler!  While on her belly she tucks her knees up under herself and pushes her bottom up in the air.  If a toy is out of reach or her pacifier she will find a way to get it.  In her crib we have set up a pacifier garden so that at night time if she wakes up she is sure to find one.  Ava is growing up so fast!  Here are some of her adventures:

6 Months Old!

Our little girl is growing up so fast!  On Tuesday Ava had her 6 month appointment.  Ava weighed in at 12 pounds 5.5 ounces and 25 1/2 inches long!  While she is growing she's still little and only in the 1 percentile!

Look at how much she's growing:

• Sits independently
• Rolls both ways
• Loves to eat sweet potatoes, carrots, pears, apples, and peaches
• Does not like squash, peas, or green beans
• Beginning to use hands to eat yogurt fruit melts
• Sleeps 11 hours uninterrupted at night
• Starting to say "mama"
• When upset says "nene"
• Grabs toys and switches from one hand to another
• Starting to push up on her knees while on her tummy
• Loves to take naps on her belly

Over the past month we have been super busy at the Glass house!  Ava loves going to Miss. Tara's house and enjoys playing with Parker every day.  Ava loves to dance, listen to music, laugh, and play.  She is growing up so fast.  This month we had both Grandma and Gigi come to visit!  Ava went to two birthday parties and played outside in the water for the first time!  Everyday she does something new.  We love watching our little girl grow every day!

Ava has grown and learned so much over the past month!  Ava is loving spending her days at Miss. Tara's house and enjoys spending time with her friend Parker.  Ava has settled nicely into a routine and put herself on a wonderful schedule!  This past week Ava has had a 3 hour nap everyday.  She is wearing herself out playing on her tummy and trying to sit up like a big girl!  As soon as Ava is laid on her back she immediately rolls over to her tummy.  How things can change so quickly because only a month ago Ava couldn't stand it when I put her on her belly.  While Ava is on her belly she reaches for toys and will tell us (loudly) when she doesn't like that she can't reach a toy!  Ava can push up on her hands while on her belly and loves to look around.  She can grab a toy and switch it between hands.  Ava can sit up all by herself, with me sitting behind her just in case, for short periods of time.  Ava loves her toys and anything that makes noise.  While sitting up Ava loves to play with her activity table and play piano.  More than anything Ava loves to play!  Ava loves feeling different textures especially her sister, Haley!  We have had a few incidents already where Ava has grabbed onto Haley's ear or hair.  So far...so good!  Our sweet Chihuahua is tolerating it so far!  Life with Ava is always exciting.  It seems Ava learns something new everyday!

This week was a very exciting and emotional week for the Glass family!  Ava had a wonderful week at Miss. Tara's house and I had a pretty good week back at work.  This week Ava started eating sweet potatoes and boy does she love them!  For breakfast she still has her oatmeal and for dinner she now eats 2 tablespoons of sweet potatoes!  Nick is great at making baby food!  To end the week Ava decided to roll over on Friday night!  We were sitting around the coffee table eating dinner and Ava did it right before our eyes!  We were so excited that we were able to see it!  Now Ava can roll over from belly to back and back to belly!  This makes changing diapers quite exciting and Sunday morning we woke up to find Ava on her belly in her crib!  Yikes!  After loads of laundry and a trip to the grocery store we are ready for some much needed family time while watching the falcons game!  Go Falcons!
