26 weeks!

Where has the time gone?  It seems like my posts every 2 weeks are coming faster and closer together!  This week we are 26 weeks!  Nick and I have been working hard on making sure we are getting everything together and perfect for our little one.  The letters to her name that I had custom painted finally came in so we hung them over her bed!  I love the color it adds to the room!  I am still in search of a lamp and some organizational baskets, but I just love her room.  To me it is the most peaceful room in our house.  We'll see how long that lasts...

Having the best husband in the world and seeing how badly I needed to rest and relax decided to take us to the Hilton Ft. Lauderdale Marina hotel where Haley and I were treated like princesses!  Eating, sleeping, and relaxing in the pool was just what the doctor ordered!  But, back to reality...

There are still a few things left on our to-do list this month before we head back to the doctor in 2 weeks.  We have to schedule the rest of our classes at the hospital and find a pediatrician.  Sounds simple, right?  Ha!  With all of the things on my to-do list for Ava and all of my things on my to-do list for the end of school I can see why I'm beginning to lose sleep at night.  The lack of sleep is all in preparation, I've heard!  One thing to look forward to is... my trip back home!  I can't wait to spend some quality time with my family!

26 weeks

Ava's Room

With Gigi in town all things are possible!  On Friday morning Buy Buy Baby delivered her headboard and put the crib together!  As soon as it was finished we dashed off to The Gardens Mall in search of a Pottery Barn Kids store.  Once inside the store we found the ruffle curtains and a round side table to match her mirror, also ordered from Pottery Barn.  Little did we know that was the easy part...

Once home, getting things installed was a bit tricky.  Taking up most of the weekend and several hours of ironing (thanks Gigi) not to mention only 1 hole to patch in the wall and Ava's room is almost finished!  Her bedding should be delivered mid June and her handpainted letters are on their way!  Ava is going to have the sweetest little girls room a princess could have!

24 Weeks

This past week was a very exciting week for us! We are now 6 months along and feeling Ava kick all the time. At our doctors appointment on Tuesday, Ava measured perfect and her heartbeat was strong. She even kicked the Doppler off my belly! We were told to schedule our classes at the hospital and start looking for a pediatrician. At our next appointment I have my glucose screening, yuck!



24 weeks

On Thursday my wonderful kindergarten team hosted my first baby shower at school. Gigi flew down Wednesday night to join us on Thursday for the shower and I couldn't have felt more loved! Stay tuned for a nursery update!

22 weeks!

Over the past 2 weeks Nick, Ava, and I have been busy.  This past Friday night, after being out of town all week, Nick finally felt Ava move!  Since then she has been moving like crazy and I just love feeling her and seeing her move all day long!  Sunday night Nick and I went to register at Wellington Regional Hospital and go on a hospital tour!  Walking with the other parents-to-be around the hospital made all of this seem so real!  We are still waiting on the crib to finish off the bedroom furniture, but hopefully that will arrive in time for Gigi's visit.  Time sure is flying!
